It’s been a while since I last posted, feel disappointed in myself but here I am back at it!
As the fall weather comes in I start to wonder how I ever walked Ellie during the winter. After 35 degree weather for a few months, 8 degrees feels like nuclear winter. It has been insanely busy the last few weeks, my sister was married, very beautiful wedding. I have had a few funding and scholarship proposals that I’ve needed to write and complete, and my class that I’m taking is coming to midterm exams.
Motivation in life is sometimes difficult to come by, especially when it comes to long term goals. Going to the gym and walking Ellie every day is definitely a challenge when the skies are grey and the weather is chilly. Writing proposals and applications day on end becomes tedious. Keeping end goals in mind are important. Staying healthy and active to keep your mind bright and feeling happy is important. This is especially critical when the weather turns and daylight becomes a scarce commodity. Spending quality time walking your pup and cuddling with your cat all help with mental and physical well-being (it has been studied!)
Goal 1: keep yourself healthy! exercise your animals, play with your pets, keep them and yourself engaged! Mental stimulation is critical in both pets and their humans. This means teaching them new tricks, getting them to work for their food and treats. Challenging them.
Goal 2: send me your thoughts! tell me what you want to know about your pets!
